Terms and Conditions

What Rides Team is

Rides Team is a free tool, operated by Verdant Labs LLC, that lets a team or group coordinate carpools: offering a ride, claiming a seat, or asking for one. It's a communication tool, not a transportation company. We do not arrange, provide, insure, or supervise any ride.

No vetting, no liability for rides

We do not run background checks, verify driving records or insurance, or otherwise vet anyone who offers or claims a ride. Every ride arranged through this app is a private arrangement between the driver and rider (and, where applicable, their parent or guardian). You're responsible for deciding whether to offer, accept, or take a ride.

Rides Team and its operator are not responsible or liable for anything that happens during a ride arranged through this app, including accidents, injury, property damage, or a ride not showing up as planned. Use this app at your own risk.

Age requirement

Rides Team is intended for use by adults 18 and older, coordinating rides for themselves or their minor children. If you're under 18, only use this app with a parent or guardian's knowledge and involvement.

Your responsibilities

Provide accurate information: your real name and phone number, and honest ride details (time, location, seats).

Only use ride and contact information you see in this app for coordinating that ride, not for any other purpose.

Don't share a team's page link outside that team's group.

SMS messaging

If you check the separate SMS-consent checkbox, you agree to receive automated text messages from Rides Team about ride-related updates. Consent is not required to use Rides Team. Message frequency varies with ride activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. One-time sign-in verification codes are sent separately through Firebase Authentication. See our Privacy Policy for how your information is used.

No warranty

This app is provided "as is," with no guarantee it will be available, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. We can change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

Removing access

We can remove any entry (a ride offer, a claim, a request) or restrict access to a team's page if it's being misused.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. Continuing to use Rides Team after a change means you accept the update.
